I started Coberly Home in 2004 when I was a new mom in Manhattan Beach and a neighbor asked me to help her with her home. I had always dreamed of being an architect, but God knew that wasn’t the path for me. My mother-in-law, Marianne Coberly, was an interior designer and graciously took me under her wings. She showed me the ropes and introduced me to her vendors and suppliers, some of whom I’ve now worked with for over two decades.

I took a break for a few years when we moved to Newport Beach in 2018 to help our family settle in to our new home, writing about homes instead, which I loved (+ still do). My husband went from finance to real estate as we began to create a new life in the same neighborhood where he grew up.

I re-launched CH last year when we became empty nesters. Twenty-one years later I still love helping people with their most important place and can’t wait to see what the future holds. 💫

These antique chairs just needed a little repair, refinishing + recovering to bring them back to life. We added a couple of custom pillows for the sofa in a wave fabric from @kravetinc to tie it all together and brighten up the room. 🩵💛 🌊

Known as “A place of history, hospitality, and diplomacy in the California desert”, Sunnylands is a famous midcentury modern home built in 1966 for Ambassadors Walter and Leonore Annenberg, who welcomed entertainment and world leaders with an unmatched reputation for elegant hospitality.

Anne Rowe, Sunnylands’ Director of Heritage, is the Guest Lecturer at the @decorativeartssociety lecture on 11.12.24 and will be speaking about Sunnylands’ interior designer William Haines. Featured in a current exhibition, “Haines’ style of décor, known as Hollywood Regency, reflected silver-screen glamour —through a vibrant mix of colors, textures, patterns, and finishes — with references to interior design of the 19th-century English Regency period.”
